Penny Appeal Canada invites you to our National Iftaar Tour: Breakin' Dates! Join us for a spiritual evening to embrace Ramadan together in Surrey. We are thrilled to host our esteemed speakers Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda and Shaykh Ahmed Shehab!

Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda

Scholar, Imam & Founder (Qalam)

AbdulNasir Jangda is the founder, director, and an instructor at Qalam. He is a faculty member at the Qalam Seminary where he teaches Sahih Bukhari, advanced Tafseer, Usul, Fiqh, and Balagha. He has completed an extensive study of the life of the Prophet ﷺ in the Seerah Podcast. He annually teaches the Seerah Intensive and leads groups on the Seerah Umrah tour and a visit to Masjid Al-Aqsa. He attained a B.A. and M.A. in Arabic from Karachi University while completing a Masters in Islamic Studies from the University of Sindh. After returning home, he taught at the local university and Islamic schools and served as the Imam in the Dallas area.

Shaykh Ahmad Shehab

IMAM & COMMUNITY LEADER

Shaykh Ahmad Shehab is a community leader who spent over 40 years serving the community in Canada. He has had the honour to represent the community before the government of Canada. He is a marriage officer and national marriage arbitrator. He is a member of the Imam Council of Canada and also the Ontario Chancellor for the International Association of Educators for World Peace.
